How your books and data are handled.
Books someone else relies on have to be right, and have to stay right. This page says what Lopifi does with your books and what this website does with your data.

Your ledger, your file
We work inside the QuickBooks Online or Xero file you already have. Nobody moves your books.
You decide what posts
Routine entries follow rules you approved. Anything that needs judgment waits for you.
Nothing rewritten
Every entry carries who, what, why and the source. Closed months lock; fixes are reversals.
Your books stay in your ledger
Lopifi works inside the QuickBooks Online or Xero file you already have and syncs both ways: the chart of accounts and tracking categories or classes, journal entries with the reason and the source attached, bills, invoices and payments, bank transactions with a reconciliation workpaper per account, and receipts and contracts as attachments.
Because the books never leave that file, your CPA, your investors and your tax preparer open the same books they always would. If you don’t have a file yet, we set one up.
What the agents may do, and what waits for you
Routine work posts itself only where you have approved a rule once: the same vendor, to the same account. Anything that needs judgment — a new contractor, an annual prepayment — waits for you, with a proposal and the reason for it.
Every entry leaves a trail: who made it, what changed, why, and the source document. The agents work from a written memory of your accounting policies, and your CPA approves that memory.
Closed months stay closed
Every account reconciles to an outside statement before the month closes, and every balance has a lead schedule behind it. When you sign off, the period locks. A mistake found after that is corrected by a reversal, never by editing or deleting what was posted — so the history an auditor reads is the history that happened.
A person checks the work
A licensed CPA reviews your reconciliations, lead schedules, revenue recognition and classifications every quarter, checks the agents’ calls and sends written findings with the corrections made. That is a review of your bookkeeping. It is not an audit, an attestation, or tax preparation.
What this website does with your data
The forms send what you type, plus the page you were on and basic request details, to a Google Sheet Lopifi owns. Page views and a few named events go to PostHog through this site’s own origin, with session recording switched off. There is no advertising network and no remarketing pixel.
The tools and the workbook compute entirely in your browser. Figures you paste are never uploaded; the workbook keeps its sheets in your browser’s localStorage and in no request. The Chrome extension keeps the PDF on your machine and runs its AI on-device.
The full statement, including what is recorded with a form submission and how to have it deleted, is the privacy policy.
What this page does not cover yet
Lopifi is not open yet, so this page does not yet describe how the service stores or protects data about your books. Questions go to hello@lopifi.com.
