Qualified small employer HRA
In accounting, qualified small employer HRA means an HRA for an employer that is not an ALE and offers no group health plan, reimbursing employees with their own minimum essential coverage, on the same terms for all — up to $6,450 self-only and $13,100 family for 2026, with written notice 90 days before the year.
Also called QSEHRA.
Authority: IRC §9831(d); Rev. Proc. 2025-32 §4.63. Sources
The lesson that teaches this
From the free founder back-office course, taught on one company's books, with exercises to work it yourself.
For founders
The same idea written for a founder: what it costs a startup that ignores it, and what to do in a real month.
What it is not called
Each of these means something else. Use one here and an accountant reading the product notices.
